jute Dark Blend

There’s nothing we love more than an afternoon of coffee geekery, playing around with the roaster to see what happens if we tweak this temperature and adjust that timing and alter this airflow, and so on and so on.

We had great fun creating the dark blend, switching up the roasting style we use for the jute blend to make something that tastes the same - but different.

The jute dark blend has all the complexity and flavours of the jute blend, but tastes more intense, with bold flavours swooping in to pick you up. It’s a great base for flat whites and lattes, particularly when you want the coffee to be the main player and the milk to take a definite second place.

As with the jute blend, it’s the Brazilian component that brings the chocolate to the party. The Ethiopian and Colombian bring lightness and fruitiness, while the Honduran adds the toffee notes, balancing out the blend with smooth caramel.
