Nicaraguan Coffee

For this coffee we have partnered with the Flor de Café Multiple Services Cooperative are relatively old hands, operating since 1996., The 900+ strong cooperative has received many awards in that time including the Cleaner Production Award in its 2023-2025 edition.. They’ve supported their communities – not least in the form of better fresh water provision, which has the added benefit of allowing coffee producers to wash their beans.

Diving into the dry-processed versus washed debate is one of coffee geekery’s great joys, with washed coffee advocates believing that washing beans brings more consistent results. That’s a debate for another day, but try jute Nicaragua coffee beans – 100% arabica and hand-roasted in Northamptonshire – and you can bank on gorgeous notes of mandarin, cacao and caramel – every single time. When you come to brew it, we think this smooth and balanced single origin is as delicious as a long black as it is with milk.
