A bit about our Ethiopian coffee
It was really important for us to include beans from Ethiopia, as – fun fact coming up – this amazing country is the birthplace of Arabica coffee.
Our green beans are all sourced from coffee cooperatives. The Bench Maji Forest Farmers Cooperative Union is made up of 64 small cooperatives that produce and export coffee, spices and honey from the Bench Maji forest in the south west of Ethiopia.
The coffee here grows wild under the forest canopy and is hand picked by local farmers, who receive an income and training through the cooperative.
